Emma Hardy MP Challenges the Chancellor on Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services Funding

Last year, the Department for Health announced £7.8 million for building a Children and Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Hull West and Hessle but that money has become stuck in the Treasury.

Following my question in parliament yesterday regarding the unacceptable delay in funding to develop the CAMHS Tier 4 inpatients unit, I have written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer to urge him to act on this. It is only fair we get answers for the people whose lives are being effected by this delay and whose safety is being put at risk.
