Parliament begins again tomorrow and I am heading down to ensure that this new Tory government delivers for people in Hull.
I shall be putting forward questions on many topics in the coming days, on topics that are important to all my constituents. I shall be pushing for reforms to Universal Credit, PIP assessments and the waiting times currently in practice.
I will also be taking to task the Health Secretary regarding the huge funding shortfall for our NHS and especially on how our vascular services are underfunded in Hull. We have the most fantastic NHS staff in Hull and they work night and day providing services for all of us, its time they got the funding they deserved.
I aim to set up an All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for SEND. Following on from last years damning report into the governments SEND provisions, I want the government to acknowledge its failings, reform and reinvest in SEND, so that all our children get the opportunities to fulfil their potential.
Also on my work list is ensuring that the A63 project is completed on time, this is a great project and it will be a great boon to tourism and commuters alike in our fair city.
On Thursday there will be the third reading of the Brexit Bill which was brought back just before Christmas. This will be followed by my return to Hull later that evening.
Finally on Friday I will be attending the RE:uniform event on which details are here.
I hope you have all had a lovely holiday period and a great New Year. I look forward to continuing to work hard for you over this New Year and beyond. Rest assured I shall always do everything in my power to make all our lives in Hull West & Hessle a little better.
