On Tuesday I chaired a meeting of the National Education Union Parliamentary Group. The key item on the agenda was the campaign against school funding cuts. Angela Rayner and Kevin Courtney both spoke and Laura Pidcock helped to organise the event.
Real terms cuts to school funding since 2015 have led to a big reduction in the number of secondary teachers, teaching assistants and support staff in England. This is affecting the quality of education our children are receiving too.
