Menopause Hull is back in 2024!

Menopaus’ull, in collaboration with MP for Hull West and Haltemprice, Emma Hardy, is proud to announce that Menopause Hull 2024, an event aimed at raising awareness and providing support for those navigating menopause, is back for its third year. On Saturday, 26th October 2024, from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Princes Quay Shopping Centre.

With an emphasis on education and community support, Menopause Hull 2024 will feature an array of health and wellbeing services, expert talks, and interactive sessions. The event aims to break the silence surrounding menopause, fostering understanding and empathy for those experiencing this natural phase of life.

Event Features Include:

– Health and Wellbeing Services: Attendees will have access to local offerings that help alleviate menopause symptoms, including complementary therapies and wellness programs.

– Live Therapist Demonstrations: Expert therapists will showcase effective techniques designed to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing.

– Menopause Café: A designated area for informal discussions where participants can share experiences and seek support in a relaxed environment.

– Informative Talks by Experts: A lineup of knowledgeable speakers will address various menopause-related topics, equipping attendees with insights for managing this life stage.

– Interactive Q&A Panel: A panel of specialists will provide personalized advice, answering questions and addressing concerns related to menopause.

“This event is essential for our community,” said Sarah Weichardt, event organiser. “Aiming to empower individuals with knowledge about menopause and how best to support themselves or loved ones going through it. Menopause should not be something women have to navigate alone, and we are here to ensure that support is available.”

Emma Hardy MP added, “Too many women suffer in silence and that is not fair. Menopause impacts every aspect of a person’s life and yet information and resources on how to cope with symptoms are not readily available. I hope this event shows those going through perimenopause and menopause that there are places and people they can turn to.”

Menopause Hull 2024 is designed to benefit not only women experiencing menopause but also partners, family members, friends, and healthcare professionals. The event underscores the importance of understanding the physical, emotional, and mental changes associated with menopause.

The Menopaus’ull Support Network is dedicated to advocacy and support for those navigating menopause. Through initiatives like Menopause Hull 2024, the organization seeks to raise awareness and provide the tools necessary for individuals to manage their health and wellbeing effectively.

We’re looking forward to seeing you on Saturday 26th October!
