After many months campaigning and three very successful events, our RE:uniform campaign has made enough noise that government has had to listen. On the 5th of September I attended an Education Select Committee meeting where Lord Agnew, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the School System, agreed to tackle schools demanding branded uniform and will amend the guidance allowing families to buy fairer priced unbranded uniform for their children.

I will be assiduously monitoring the government to ensure that they deliver on their promises; break the retail monopolies, introduce guidance on branded uniform, and allow our families to buy lower priced uniforms for our children…
