I will be chairing an Environmental Round Table event that I have organised. As pressures continue to grow on the natural environment and plant and animal numbers continue to decline I am determined to find solutions. With that in mind I have invited interested parties from the community, NGOs and local councils to begin to find a way forward. It will also be an opportunity for them to become involved in a city-wide community project I am launching to boost pollinator numbers and create the first “Brimstone butterfly city.”

I will be attending a Women Into Manufacturing and Engineering event which is a Humber wide initiative kick-started by Green Port Hull and local businesses to address the lack of diversity in the engineering and manufacturing sectors and to encourage women and girls to consider careers in these industries. I will be meeting with representatives of the local Modular Homes industry to discuss how I can help with the development of this important regional resource.
